Ziv-Av participated in Massivit’s groundbreaking 3D printer design

The Massivit 1800 Flagship 3D Printer is the first of its kind to produce super-size, crowd-stopping signage and displays for visual communication. Offering unprecedented printing speed, Ziv-Av took part in the design of the printer, to enable business growth through scalability of printing heads and versatile printing materials.

Ziv-Av’s design for unprecedented super-fast printing

Ziv-Av’s multidisciplinary team of experts collaborated in the design of the flagship 3D printer, enabling it to create supersized 3D products at competent speed.

The design featured mechanical and electrical assemblies. Ziv-Av created a highly accurate design of the dual XY movements of two printing-heads and up-down movement of the table –allowing high speed simultaneous printing of two objects. On top of that, Ziv-Av strengthened the chassis in that area.

Ziv-Av designs innovative solution for intricate electrical system

Because of the many complicated moving parts, Ziv-Av had to engineer a segmented electrical system that could be placed in several locations within the printer. With their efficient design, Ziv-Av engineers provided the most reliable, serviceable solution –keeping the cables of the machine within view for easy access and maintenance.

Ziv-Av design allowed the 1800 series to create massive prints of 145cm x 111cm x 180cm at an unprecedented 300 mm/sec linear speed and 35 cm/hour Z-axis speed.

Ziv-Av’s design ensures operator’s safety

Along with the XY system, Ziv-Av came up with a remarkable solution to prevent the damage caused by the forces created by the high-speed of the printing heads. The printing machine remains remarkably stable and safe in accordance with safety standards, for the operators working on the machine.
